Nature tours in Poland,

We have two basic programmes - winter and spring/fall - both of which are modified to suit the specific needs of our guests.  As on all our holidays you do not need to take care of anything and simply enjoy your stay: Here's a brief outline of what we offer:

Polish “Wild East” snow expedition

This expedition lets you experience one of Europe’s last wildernesses - the “Wild East” winter expeditionof Poland in the snow. Together with a local guide, you will follow the trails through the mountainous Bieszczady region. After a few introductory lessons, you will then set off on your first trip across the stunning snowy landscape, using snowshoes and cross-country skis. The snowy winters provide the ideal opportunity to see the tracks and study the behaviour of animals such as wolves, European bison, and red deer… and because the hills are completely uninhabited, the chance of spotting wildlife is considerably increased. The lack of leaves on the trees in winter also enhances opportunities for spotting the animals which are normally seldom seen. We will meet wolf researchers and have an evening slide presentation on the National Park as well as campfires and a lot of fun.

Spring and autumn wildlife tracking

May and end of September is the best period to go into the wilderness of Bieszczady ural owlmountains seeking rare species of birds, big mammals and predators.
The abundance of old trees full of nest-holes in our forests is a perfect refuge for some rare owls such as the Ural Owl (Strix uralensis) and Pygmy Owl (Glaucidium passerinum), as well as the powerful Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo). We can also spot corncrakes, quails , river warblers and a long list of other birds.

As well as birdwatching, we can track big animals like European bison, wolf, lynx, red deer and brown bear. Spotting animals in the wild is difficult, but we have the guides that make it real. It is relatively easy to find the footprints of wolves and bears on these grounds.
Both of these nature trips are run by professional biologists and guides. As usual we offer a complete service in English.
